how to create product photos with ai
Create product photos from your real images, refine them in Image Maker and prepare WooCommerce listings. Includes a Shopify media workflow.
Bruno helps create and refine images in Image Maker and prepare product listings in Instant Listings, both within the iAmBruno™ platform.

You have the products. What you do not have is a studio, an afternoon for every new item or a photograph that already looks ready for the shop.
A stock picture can illustrate a general idea, but it may show a product you do not sell. A better starting point for a product page is your own item: its real shape, material, colour and details.
You can improve the setting around that item without treating an attractive generated picture as proof that every detail is correct.
Start with a useful reference photo
Take clear photos of the actual product. Show the front, important details and any option the customer needs to choose. Use a simple background and enough light to see the surface. Include a separate close photo when a label, fastening or texture matters.
Keep the original files. They give you something reliable to compare against when reviewing an edited or newly generated image.
For a fictional example, imagine a green ceramic mug available in two sizes. A general green-mug stock photo would not establish the shape of your handle, the finish of your glaze or the size the customer will receive.
Ask Image Maker for a specific presentation
In Image Maker, add your product photos as references and describe the image you need. Start with one useful result, such as a clean main shop image, before making several promotional scenes.
Use the mug in my reference photos. Preserve its handle shape, green glaze, proportions and surface details. Put it on a clean light background with a soft natural shadow. Show one mug only. Do not add a logo, a printed slogan or accessories.
This is an example request, not a guarantee of perfect preservation. Compare the output with the actual item before using it.
If one detail needs changing, select the intended saved version and create an edit. Specify the change and what should stay. Keep working from the version you want rather than asking for an unrelated fresh image each time. Review the displayed credit cost before creating an image or edit. The Image Maker guide covers references, versions and downloads.
Check the product before you check the beauty
A pleasing background will not compensate for a handle that changed shape or packaging that acquired invented text. Compare:
- The shape, colour and visible material.
- Labels, logos and readable text.
- The number of items shown and anything included in the purchase.
- Size options and details customers use to choose.
If you cannot get a faithful result, use the original product photograph for the main listing. A generated scene can be useful promotional artwork, but it should not mislead someone about what will arrive.
Turn the images into a WooCommerce listing
A product photo is only part of the page. You also need an accurate title, description, price, quantity and any real variations.
Instant Listings provides the next part of the WooCommerce workflow: use your product photos and factual details to prepare a listing, review the saved result and load the selected listing into the connected store.
Check the real options, size rows, prices and counted stock before loading. A photo of a label does not establish inventory. Two sizes may have different prices or quantities, and a blank quantity should not be treated as an instruction to invent one. See the reviewed Instant Listings workflow.
Image Maker and Instant Listings can therefore support consecutive parts of the job: create an approved image, download it, then use the appropriate product assets and facts when preparing the listing. This is a deliberate handoff, not a claim that every image is automatically sent to a shop.
You can also add the approved images directly
| Your shop | What to do with the reviewed image |
|---|---|
| WooCommerce | Choose the main Product Image and any additional Product Gallery images in the product editor, or follow the connected Instant Listings workflow. |
| Shopify | Open the intended product and add the downloaded image in its Media section. Review the product page after saving. |
The native upload paths are documented by WooCommerce and Shopify. The Instant Listings connection described here is for WooCommerce. This article does not claim a direct Instant Listings integration with Shopify.
Build a consistent set
Once the main image works, create the additional views the customer needs: an original detail photo, a truthful scale reference or an image of the actual second option. Keep the framing and visual treatment coherent across the product range.
Before the page goes live, open it on a phone. Check that the product is recognizable at thumbnail size, the chosen image belongs to the right variation and the description agrees with what is shown. Review the price and available quantity as carefully as the picture. WooCommerce documents those product fields separately.
You now have a complete job to review: the product as it really is, an image that presents it well and a listing with the facts needed to buy it.
